How to Set the Heroku Remote Manually

Feature thumb heroku

When you create a Heroku app from the command line, it will automatically set the remote so that you can deploy from the terminal. However, if you switch to a different computer or get added to a team, you'll need to set it manually. To do that, you can run the command:

heroku git:remote -a <app-name>

This will create a remote for you in the local repo and you can then deploy.
